Via Francigena is an ancient pilgrimage route from Canterbury in England through France, Switzerland, to Rome. The Via Francigena route was originally created by pilgrims who made their way to the Eternal City. The route has been changed by itself over time and has some alternative route options along the way. The majority of the route has paved roads, the dirt roads have a stable surface. Cycling the Via Francigena route is possible for each type of rider. When you are cycling the route, it seems like a postcard scenery. You will feel like you are cycling through a piece of history. You find yourself cycling through medieval villages, rolling hills, and enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way. Via Francigena Bike Hire with delivery only to your accommodation and to all places along the Via Francigena. Please note there is no pick-up point. The bikes will be shipped upfront to your hotel in a bike box for rentals that start before the city of Lucca. You will find your bike at your location delivered to your hotel on the day before your journey is due to start (this must be a hotel with 24-hour service).
