Brest is an important harbor located on the western edge of Brittany. We recommend taking the ferry from Brest to the stunning Crozon Peninsula and cycling along the harbor to the Pointe des Espagnols (Cap Corse of Brittany), and continuing to Camaret, a charming village with the beautiful Vauban tower. From here, just go all the way to Pen-Hir, rocky islands that give the feeling of being at the world’s end!

For cycling, follow the dedicated greenways (voies vertes); the routes are all signposted. Cycle along the Atlantic coastline with its coastal cliffs and beautiful medieval villages, and have a coffee or crepe at one of the ports. We recommend cycling the route between Brest and Roscoff over the EuroVelo 1, it’s a stunning long-distance coastal route with small fishing villages and cosy towns.
