The Tarn Gorges are dramatic gorges running from Le Rozier, north of Millau, to Quézac, in the Lozère department of the Massif Central. Nestling at the heart of the Gorges is the wonderful village of Saint-Enimie, listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France. Following the course of the Tarn River for 50 kilometers, the Tarn Gorges are among the deepest gorges to be found anywhere in Europe. They are also extremely picturesque – one of the most scenic parts of France – and offer several great vantage points from where to enjoy their beauty.
For road cycling, we can recommend a long circuit of 74km including a steep climb from La Maléne onto the Causse Méjean. After crossing the plateau, you descend into Meyrueis and ride the length of the Gorge de la Jonte, rejoining the Gorges du Tarn at Le Rozier and then back to la Maléne.
