The southern part of the island has well-maintained roads, quiet countryside, and beautiful coastal views, making it perfect for riders of all levels. The bike path that runs along the coast from Platja de Palma toward Palma and Can Pastilla is especially popular for warm-up rides, offering kilometer after kilometer of flat terrain with sea breezes and stunning beach scenery.

Route 1: Palma & Beach Coast Loop

This easy-to-moderate route starts in Platja de Palma and follows the bike path west toward Palma de Mallorca before looping back along the coastal roads. The ride is mostly flat, perfect for beginners or anyone wanting a relaxed day on the bike. You’ll pass sandy beaches, marinas, and waterfront promenades — ideal spots for a coffee or gelato break. The total distance can be adapted, but a typical loop of 30–40 km is very enjoyable and gives you a great feel for the island’s seaside charm.

Route 2: Campos and Cala Pi Circular – For riders who want a longer challenge, this loop heads southeast from Platja de Palma into the rolling countryside toward Campos and Cala Pi. The terrain here becomes gently undulating, with rural scenery, vineyards, and traditional Mallorcan villages. A common mapped version of this route is about 55 miles (around 90 km) with some modest climbs and rewarding views of the island’s interior.

Whether you’re after a relaxed coast ride or a longer country loop, Platja de Palma is a wonderful base for exploring Mallorca on two wheels.
